Nicky Dyal, a true daughter of the Gunks, found fear and passion on the route Jackie, belayed by her dad, when she was only twelve years old. Today she travels the world seeking climbs with a similar spirit in far flung places like Greece and Sardinia. Her image can be seen in beautiful photographs, taken by climbing photographer Jim Thornburg, in numerous climbing magazines, catalogs and calendars (including the cover of the 2008 Women of Climbing Calendar – http://www.sharpendbooks.com/cal.php?y=2008 ). Join Nicky for an evening of spectacular photography and stories as well as a full dose of Nicky’s wholesome and contagious love for our sport. Admission fee of $5 will be donated to the GCC.
