I came upon someone skiing on Trapps road when we had the last bit of snow late in Nov, so I am sure the conditions are skiiable now... I would love to join in some skiing on the ridge this weekend, but I am doing an overnight hike over on the AT near the CT/MA... Finally use those snowshoes I have let collect dust for two years....

Have fun!
Kevin

It didn't all melt but there's an icy layer on top of all the snow.

Snow along the Lehigh Gorge in PA was actually surprisingly good on Sunday - did not ski it (was there for ice, & kicked myself for not bringing skiis too), but some folks were. Very thin ice crust to the snow, & what there was quickly softened in the afternoon sun. Not enought to get "off piste" (off the rail trail, that is), but enough to crank out a few km.
