I don't know what you folks are compliaining about. There's plenty of ice up in Stoney Clove. We had a short day yesterday. Got on The Entertainer and that easier thing tothe right of it. plenty o' ice. Okay okay, the topout sucked balls, but I was able to get screws wherever I need them. Little Black Dike is as fat as I have ever seen when I've been on it. Quit yer belly aching and get out there.

Rob, you're almost speaking in the past. Have fun after this week. Obviously things changed from when I posted about thursday's conditions becasue on that day the fattest part of little black dike was laying on the ground at the base. You hit it at the right time. I was considering heading down there yesterday to do the same but we went to chapel pond instead. Conditions were pretty good there by the way.

To borrow that old expression:

If you don't like the ice conditions, wait 5 minutes. OK, wait 2 days.

Unfortunately, waiting 2 days THIS winter means things get WORSE. Case in point - Moores is JUST getting fat enough that several lines could be led with relative safety, but now we add two days of warm and some rain and BAM, the tops will be all gone. Again.

Pit, yeah I saw the remains of the previous Little Black Dike lying on the ground. Amazing what lots of water and two or three nights of cold weather will give you.

Did anyone get into the hell hole/kitchen in the last few days? Originally I was thinking about going in there to check things out but reports of climbs at chapel pond being good was tough to pass up.
