Is appears that once a user's post is replied to, the original poster can no longer edit their post. A post I made yesterday now has one or two replies and my post no longer shows me an edit button. Is this true or am I totally missing something?
If it is true, is this a bug or intended behavior?

I tested this by creating a test post and replying to it. I could edit the first post but not delete it, being told that a replyed-to post couldn't be deleted. I deleted the second, then the first.

Posts can be edited within the first 6 hours of their posting. That's the current setting I'm using, anyway. Not sure there is a time limit for deleting you posts, other than the stipulation that no one can have responded.

I suspected a brief deadline. The absence of the Edit box at the extreme left of the option boxes at the bottom of a post indicates expiration, which precludes editing or deletion.
