Just for Dizz, named in honor of the little Canadian kid we helped with his chain suck issue on Sunday (luckily, Dana speaks French!)

You asked for it (well, OK, one person asked for it, but what the hell)...

Tour de Gunks, Part Deux

I'm thinking the weekend of 6-7 October, 2007.

Any thoughts ??

EDIT: Big oops ! That's the dreaded Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving cosmic convergence/New Paltz cluster f**k.

So, any preferences for 29-30 September or 13-14 October ?

I'd be in if you did it on the clisterf#$k weekend; that's my only free one in Sept/Oct. Bummed I missed the 19th...I bailed on my Tri and went kayaking instead (maybe I should be loggin in here more than every 4 months these days!). Had I known, with my better, smarter half out of the country and off the grid, Ida been all o'er that!!!

I'm up for road too.

Jules,

Welcome back to the shitty weather of the east coast.

It's gonna be mountain (well, Carriage Roads + 0.5 miles of single track). Joe K has a preference for 5-6 October, but that weekend is just hell in disguise in New Paltz.

Anyone else have a preference for last week of September or week after Columbus Day ? Speak up, or I'll have to make the decision in tyrannical fashion.

Tim

Tim,
I am away the last weekend in September so after Columbus Day works better for me. But do not let that impede your tyranny \:\)

I guess I'd prefer the October date, too.

So, Joules, are you officially back now?

Well, the there was enough input I did not need to be too much of a tyrant..

The weekend of 13-14 October is the winner. The fall colors should be much nicer than next weekend anyway.

So, the exact date is to follow, but I'm leaning toward Saturday, 13 October. Any dissent ?

Please advise if you want to attend so I know who to expect.

Word on the street is Lisa has been disqualified from Tour de Gunks for that weekend. Something about doping with synthetic estrogen apparently...
