Using photos of folks bouldering in closed County Park as an advertisement for a paid climbing program is not in the best interest of climbing access in NJ. Notable when the County Park System is listed and the bouldering site shown and fully identified. Yet when walking into the site one passes numerous signs saying "no bouldering and no climbing". If Morris County wanted access to such sites the "no bouldering and no climbing" signs would not be posted.
If we muck up the issue w/ bouldering sites expect Morris County to close off fully access to Green Pond.
This action adversely impact access in the State.
Second:
Using the NJ State Parks as the base of a paid climbing program requires that such programs follow the NJ State Park Service rules and regulations. This means carry insurance and follow the application for special use permits.
Paid services and recreational climbing in the State Parks are bifurcated activities. Not following the State Park rules will lump climbing into a single issue and recreational climbing will be adversely impacted.

As of 9/27 a land trust and associated conservation/recreation easement is being formed w/ the land-owners assistance to allow access. Contact John Anderson at the following e-mail for specifics:
its good to see the instructor- Barry Rusneck- has credentials... Is a certified BSA Rock instructor stand for "Boy Scouts of America"? and when did they start "certifying" rock climbing instructors? And who really cares that someone is BSA Certified???
BSA ceritifies their instructors for "everything". Even gotta be certified to be near kids that aren't yours. I hear it's a PITA cause you can't "just help out". Can't blam BSA though. Things aren't the same as they used to be.

It is very upsetting if access to an area is in jeapordy due to advertising and I also think it's kinda funny that the 'couples communication' (Ken's Crack photo) appears to be "No honey, I need you to move further left to generate even more rope swing!"
