If anyone is within a short drive of Poughkeepsie and wants a workout, I'm having a tree climbing party at my house tomorrow (Nov 28) afternoon 3 PM - ? (bring a headlamp). Note - this isn't a late evening activity really. I expect to be done by 7 or so, realistically. Bring normal ice climbing gear except screws. Trees will be set up for leading and TRing, with some of the latter being seriously beyond vertical. You WILL get pumped!

OK, so the first ever "Bark Park in the Dark" party was a success, with four happy climbers in attendance. It may become a regular affair for Hudson Valley locals looking to get in ice season shape before the ice is, um, in season.
