Heard a rumor that there was a Petition circulating to sandblast the first few moves of Laural to enhance the friction (remove the polish) and transform the route to it original condition.

Heard from some guy is all.... details to follow

I didn't have any issues, then again I didn't have the rope coming down from above, maybe that had something to do with it? \:\/

Kind of pathetic, considering one doesn't even need friction in order to make those first few moves.

Wow..as if...

But guess what lads, Laurel was always slippery, perhaps from water running?

If Kraus could lead it in tennies, somehow the sticky rubber generation will find a way to fight their way up in spite of the purported polish.

I heard they weren't going to sandblast, but are actually petitioning the use of an acid etching compound... Apparently it's cheaper and easier because then they don't have to lug the pressure tanks around for the sandblasting equipment...
