Hi,

I'm writing a Climbing Magazine "mini-feature" as editor Matt Samet puts it, about climbing parents and our perception of risk. The article is coming out in Oct 08 and I would appreciate the insights of any/all Gunks climbing moms and dads.

You can reach me at susan@susanebschwartz.com and also through my website http://www.theschwartzspot.com and I'll provide more info. Meanwhile, thanks for your time and help!
-Susan

Now Susan,

This article would far exceed the literature quaility that any climbing rag has had to offer in the recent past.

Now now... Don't jump to any conclusions... It'll probably be ruined with horrible graphics or some lame insert or something...

I can see the picture of some teen girl high balling a v9 while Mom stands below biting her fist and crying, while both are wearing a scimpy climbing top and hot pants. Shot, of course, in first light for maximum color. Sound about right?

I think it's a good idea for a story. I've heard many parents, with kids ranging in ages from newborn to teens, and the issues they deal with. Issues for both themselves and the children. I am looking forward to reading the article!
